Russia does its own accreditation of adoption agencies according to Angela in another comment on a previous post. I hope that I did a good job researching these agencies. I manged to forget my password.<BR/><BR/>Russia hasn't signed the Hague International Adoption Treaty, therefore American adoption agencies doing Russian adoptions... They don't have to be accredited in the US for Hague treaty adoptions. <BR/><BR/>They can be, if they want... But they aren't required to do so.<BR/><BR/>The list of countries who have signed the Hague treaty is here. http://travel.state.gov/family/adoption/convention/convention_4197.html<BR/><BR/>Any adoption agency working in these countries must be Hague accredited.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
