So many of these agencies do in fact make empty promises to adoptive parents. I have seen it time and time again.Amyadopteehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10954658047614318238noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19705400.post-65832790959677000472008-08-17T18:20:00.000-05:002008-08-17T18:20:00.000-05:00tara hayes was my adoption agent back in december ...tara hayes was my adoption agent back in december 2006 and though it was a tough process, she was very helpful and honest. she was with us at the hospital on both christmas day and new years day. she disclosed everything she knew about my daughter and her birthmother, which i have learned that not all agents do. i would use her as an agent again.

...and i really hope that was sarcasm or a (bad) joke about "broken merchandise" in the previous comment!sarahjanehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07592031092981400430noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19705400.post-31778271048302847542007-07-27T09:58:00.000-05:002007-07-27T09:58:00.000-05:00Well sure because for thirty two grand you better ...Well sure because for thirty two grand you better not be getting broken merchandise! You really have done a lot of work in sourcing out stories about adoption, particularly adoption records legislation.

My FIL was adopted in Indiana in 1947-48 (not sure of the exact date)at 15-18 months. I think I'm more interested in finding out about his first family than he or anyone else in his adoptive family is.
