This is about a natural father and his rights. The state is Florida. I do know that CUB has issued a amicae whatever for this in support of this father's rights.

It's an Amicus Curiae brief filed by parties not involved in the case, but on behalf of either party involved to provide the court with additional information. In Latin it means "friend of the court." The case in question is Heart of Adoptions, Inc. v. J.A., case number SC07-738 in the Florida Supreme Court.
