Another friend of mine, Without a Tribe aka Gershom, did an awesome post on the corruption of adoption. It amazes me that the FBI know that these things are going on in international adoption. They know which American adoption agencies are corrupt as well. What is ironic is that baby buying is Gershom says is not illegal. I do however think that it should be. It would put adoptive parents on notice.
If you watch the video in Niels post, the agent in it states emphatically that it is not illegal to buy a baby in the United States. They can tell you that but it is not illegal to buy a child. No one imagines that their child has been bought or sold. It happens every day.
