A PETITION FOR BIRTH PARENTS ACROSS THIS COUNTRY

I have had a friend tell me that these type of things are not worth anything but maybe just maybe we get enough people on this list. We can use this petition to get the attention of our leggies, governors, presidents, congressional leaders, attorneys, and so many others that affect our choices. Maybe this will get their attention. So I am posting it for all to read and maybe sign.

We have to get our message heard. We need to show a unified voice no matter what on this one. Lets do this please.

Amy--I have been reading some of you comments and they touched me--I am a birth mother who placed a chid in 1985 in Chicago, Il. I was from the east then and now--How would I go about looking for my daughter?

Have you checked with the agency that you placed with? Also the Vital Statistics department would have alot of info for you. I will be back to post the actual laws on Illinois for you.

http://www.idph.il.us/vitalrecords/adoptioninfo.htm is a website that can answer your questions. If you click on the link it should work. If it doesn't work, then type it in. You can use your agency that you used. They might be able to help. If you want to email me privately, its amyburt40@yahoo.com
