ADOPTEE RIGHTS PROTEST

I wanted to remind all that the Adoptee Rights Protest will be on July 22, 2008 in New Orleans. Everyone is writing their legislators to advise them of this event. It is also to ask them to support adoptee rights. In fact, I believe all should have access to the original birth certificate especially the mothers and fathers of loss. That should be mentioned as well. Many of the mothers of the past didn't have a choice. Most of these women didn't want to relinquish their children. It wasn't for love that their children were relinquished. It was because they had no choice. I wish that I could educate every adoptee of the way that their mothers were treated.

Adopters if you really love your children you would support adoptee access. You would want your children to know their families of origin. If you love your child, you would respect your child's natural family. Its time to start writing those letters.
